One Pretty Woman & One Cute Baby

gdiaper Julia Roberts uses them, and we love them!

We often get asked the ‘Great Diaper Debate:’ Disposable or Cloth? Generally our answer has been - BOTH! - Stock the nursery with cloth, but have the disposables ready to go for the babysitter or the diaper bag. However, we are thrilled to introduce a new, and wonderful, third option.

gDiapers are super cute on the tush and super easy to flush.

Because they flush, they don’t take up the landfill space that plastic diapers do. Can’t flush them? That’s okay too. Because of their natural fibers, they will decompose in 50-150 days. gDiapers have no elemental chlorine, no perfumes, no smell, no garbage, and no guilt.

For colors, we love ‘Giggle Pink’ and ‘Goodwill Green,’ but feel free to pick and choose as you please, they are all precious.

The price of a Mom

So, this is an older article (2007) but one that we just love.

Salary.com calculates the “salary” of a mom based on her duties at home raising her children. In 2007, they calculated a salary of $138,095 for an average 92-hour workweek.

We knew it was hard work, but seeing the numbers is still amazing!

The only thing we would add: this is the price of a Dad who stays home, too.

It IS easy being green.

Kermit stands to be corrected.
We at Perfecting Expecting make it a priority to make eco-friendly baby choices at every chance we get.
Recently, there has been an upswing in enviro-and-baby-friendly products which promote natural fibers and materials. Crib mattresses, food products, toys, and clothes can all be found without those icky chemicals that creeped up in baby products over the past few decades.
Much to our pleasure, media reports have been discussing the revitalization of the glass bottle and BPA free bottle products: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23617301/
We encourage you to be in touch with us should you have any questions about how to make the “au natural” choice for your family.

Gearing up!

As we prepare to launch our new business, we wish to thank all of the new mom’s, expectant parents, boutiques, and organizations who have helped us grow and become the best babyplanners we can be.
Each expecting family has unique needs. Parents who live in the Back Bay may have different needs than parents who live in Newton. Parents who have stairs to climb every day, parents with pets, parents with food allergies, and parents with day care needs all have circumstances which will require personalized research and attention in order to prepare the very best you can for your baby.
Let us do the dirty work while you enjoy this wonderful time in your life. Tell us what you need, and we will do everything we can to make that happen. If you don’t know what you need, we may be able to give you a few ideas. Either way, we are thrilled to offer our services to you and your new family.
Happy expecting to all!
